PRecious Communications has added three new leaders to its regional team to aid in the agency's growth. Daniel Tan (pictured left) was recently appointed as associate director for PRecious Sparks, PRecious’ practice which supports and advises the startup ecosystem, from early-stage to unicorns status on IPO; venture capital firms; and accelerators.

In his role, he counsels a range of startup, VC and accelerator accounts around corporate communications, financial communications and integrated communications initiatives, while lending strategic support to other practices. A former journalist who has written for numerous regional publications, Tan specialises in media relations and strategic communications across Asia Pacific. He has led both in-market and regional integrated communications initiatives and has previously served as the publicist for the UFC, where he drove communications campaigns in Asia.

In line with the agency's thrust to strengthen its integrated communications capabilities and broaden its range of digital communications service offerings, PRecious has recently appointed John Paul Palileo (pictured second from right) as the agency’s creative director. He is a strategic brand builder and visual storyteller with a background in outcome-driven design across markets and has more than a decade of experience across various advertising and marketing agencies in Southeast Asia.

Palileo has also led teams in designing creative solutions and shaping brand personas through visual content. Some of the clients he has worked with include Unilever, WSG, Changi group, OCBC, FrankByOcbc, Chevrolet, FedEx, Visa, WWF to name a few.

At the same time, the agency also named Georg Ackermann (pictured right) as its new content lead, helming the newly formed content marketing team. Ackermann has worked nearly two decades with leading media organisations in Europe and Asia. At Dow Jones, he managed and produced curated newsletters and in-depth media analysis reports for clients in government, political and sports associations, as well as major companies in a wide range of industries. He contributed data visualisations to The Wall Street Journal. Most recently, he has been a managing editor with KrASIA, covering the startup and tech ecosystem in Southeast Asia.

Lars Voedisch (pictured second from left), MD of PRecious Communications, said proactively hiring leaders reflects the agency's continuous commitment in strengthening capabilities in Southeast Asia as the agency faces a new wave of growth. "From a one-man team back in 2012, we have now become a full-fledged communications consultancy that thinks regionally and acts locally, and we are excited to empower more organisations through creative and innovative communications solutions in the digital age," Voedisch said.

Prayaank Gupta, VP, growth and innovation, said with more brands trying to get their marketing, communications and content mix right across Southeast Asia, PRecious Communications is seeing a greater need to tailor its approach and offerings and offer counsel beyond its core offerings. "Our investment in hiring and developing talent enables us to not only better seize opportunities, but also provides us with more ways to delight our clients by deepening our collaborative efforts," he added.

The agency has grown from strength to strength. In August, it brought on board a range of consumer clients including Guocoland Singapore, Tiger Brokers, Ziptrak, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, Nippon Paint, Traveloka, and Poh Heng. It also formed an integrated team named helmed by Robin Chang, VP, brand communications and strategy, which works closely with PRecious Life's dedicated PR accounts team to deliver a series of integrated communication solutions to prospects and clients that drive their business growth.
