Esplanade reappoints Havas Media Singapore to orchestrate digital strategy

Singapore’s national performing arts centre, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, has reappointed Havas Media Singapore as its media agency of record (AOR) following a competitive pitch. The agency will focus on driving Esplanade’s digital media strategy, planning, and buying across channels.

Havas Media, a partner of Esplanade since 2018, has played a pivotal role in strengthening the arts centre's presence and deepening audience engagement, according to a statement seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

Most recently, the agency launched "Wonder here", a brand campaign aimed at revitalising Esplanade’s identity, inviting more residents to experience the arts in their own ways.

Lee Kit Pui, director of marketing for The Esplanade Co Ltd said "Over the years, Havas Media has proven to be a committed and strategic partner, consistently demonstrating passion, dedication, and a deep understanding of our brand."

"Their strong digital expertise and data-driven approach stood out throughout the pitch process, reaffirming our confidence in this continued partnership," added the director. 

In tandem, Deanson Lee, head of digital at Havas Media Network Singapore said that the agency is excited to build on the solid foundation it established and continue to evolve Esplanade’s digital presence through its converged strategy. 

"By seamlessly integrating data, technology, and creativity, we aim to make the arts more accessible and connect with audiences in fresh, meaningful ways," said Lee. 

Meanwhile, Pankaj Nayak, chief executive officer of Havas Media Network Singapore, added "Esplanade is a cultural institution that holds a special place in Singapore’s creative landscape, and we’re proud to continue supporting their vision."

Pankaj added "Our focus is on delivering bold, data-driven strategies that broaden Esplanade’s reach and drive lasting impact," he added.

Earlier this year, the agency appointed Nayak as its new CEO of Havas Media Network Singapore and SEA president of Havas Media. In his role, Nayak is tasked to advance Havas' converged strategy across SEA, grow Havas Media Network's new core capabilities in activation, commerce and data and tech.

This is to enhance growth, innovation and client impact. Additionally, he will focus on building expertise through strategic alliances and acquisitions to further strengthen regional offerings.
