Ferrero names Mindshare global media partner

Chocolate and confectionery company Ferrero has appointed Mindshare its new global media agency. Marketing understands that APAC is involved in handling the business as well. The global media account was previously held by Omnicom Media Group's PHD, which also handled the Ferrero business in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia markets.Marketing has reached out to Ferrero and PHD for a statement, as Mindshare declined to confirm the account win. Notable brands under in the Ferrero family include the likes of Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, Kinder Bueno and Tic Tac. Globally there have been also talks of Ferrero looking to buy Kellogg’s cookie brands Keebler and Famous Amos together with its Stretch Island fruit snacks.Months ago, Ferrero called for a global creative pitch that Marketing understands involves the Singapore market. The pitch is said to invite one representative agency from every major creative agency network from across markets.In 2017, Ferrero launched its first innovation centre in Asia Pacific. Designed to strengthen Ferrero’s status as a global innovation leader, the centre will focus on various strategic innovation functions in the areas of health and nutrition, product research and development as well as consumer insights. Globally, Ferrero appointed PHD as its media agency, and Done!
