The anticipation is finally over as the curtains rise to unveil the finalists for MARKETING-INTERACTIVE's MARKies Awards 2025, spotlighting the best and brightest in Singapore's marketing industry. Running for 16 years, the MARKies Awards continue to celebrate the most innovative, creative and effective campaigns or projects across the country.

Among the 46 categories spanning the realms of creative ideas and media usage open for submissions, this year's edition debuts four new categories: 'Most Creative – Interactive Storytelling', 'Most Creative - Hyperlocal Marketing', 'Most Effective Use - Contextual Advertising' and 'Most Effective Use - Zero-Party Data'.

In addition to the array of categories, agencies competing across both themes stand the chance to clinch the coveted 'Overall Creative Ideas MARKie' and 'Overall Media Usage MARKie' titles.

The evaluation of entries for the MARKies Awards 2025 was entrusted to a panel of 19 seasoned marketing professionals hailing from various corners of the region. Denise Tan, director of digital sales & marketing at Babilou Family Singapore, commended the depth and innovation displayed in this year’s entries. She said the campaigns reflected “a lot of in-depth thinking and strategic planning,” with creative approaches to audience engagement.

“Marketing is more challenging these days given the amount of content that consumers watch and scroll... It's really inspiring to see agencies and brands push the boundaries in their execution and find new and creative ways to cut through the clutter,” said Tan.

In addition, Nicolas Lasbistes, director of marketing at dsm-firmenich, highlighted the impact of this year’s campaigns on Singapore’s marketing landscape. “The standout submissions excelled not only in creative execution but also in their strong, strategic approach, consumer knowledge, and insightful foundations,” said Lasbistes, adding that the storytelling element was particularly compelling.

Meanwhile, Harish Nambiar, director of marketing communications at Singtel Singapore, said he was “genuinely impressed with the quality, thinking, and creativity” across the board. “These weren’t merely attention-grabbing campaigns – they delivered substantial, measurable business outcomes... The power was in how deceptively simple ideas were amplified both creatively and efficiently," he said.

Catherine Loh, assistant general manager of marketing at Marshall Cavendish Education, said the submissions not only communicated their messages effectively but also “engaged their audience and achieved significant business results.”

“I am thrilled to participate in this panel and witness the most outstanding marketing campaigns,” added Loh. The winners of the 16th annual MARKies Awards will be announced at a live gala dinner and celebration in Singapore on the 15th of May 2025 at Shangri-La Singapore.

With a strong showing across diverse sectors, the MARKies Awards 2025 exemplify the ingenuity and resilience of Singapore’s marketing landscape. Eager to find out who made the cut? View the full list of MARKies Awards Singapore 2025 finalists here.
