ShopBack has appointed Jeremy Lim (pictured) as its head of marketing, Singapore. In his new role, Lim will manage a team of 18 people across ShopBack's online affiliate and the recently launched in-store payment feature. He reports directly to Fern Nannaphat, country general manager, Singapore.

Lim told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that he is encouraged to know how ShopBack has firmly established itself as a household name in online affiliate marketing since its launch in 2014. "This serves as the perfect foundation for me to achieve the goal of establishing ShopBack Pay as the number-one in-store payment method in Singapore. And ultimately, to achieve the mission to make shopping rewarding with the highest cashback, a delightful journey of discovery and accessible for our users," he added.

Lim was formerly country manager at YouTrip for over a year, and previously took on the roles of head of marketing and marketing manager in the company. During his time as head of marketing at YouTrip, Lim was responsible for the company's overall marketing activities, including user acquisition and budgeting, according to his LinkedIn. He was also tasked with sourcing and negotiating marketing partnerships in Singapore, as well as managing local and regional media communications of all company milestone announcements.

In response to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, YouTrip said that Kelvin Lam, regional general manager who is currently leading both YouTrip Singapore and Thailand business developments and the eventual roll-out of YouBiz, will be the acting country manager in Singapore until the company finds a replacement hire.

Prior to that, Lim was marketing manager at LEVEL3 Singapore. According to his LinkedIn, he was responsible for the acquisition of innovative tech startups into the LEVEL3 community, as well as positioning the company as a thought leader in corporate innovation and technology catalyst.

Over the years, Lim has also co-founded several businesses, such as Almost Famous, Moonstone Bar, 21moonstone, Coworking Singapore, Workwander, MAKERSCUT and Piccolo+.

Separately, Fave's Ng Aik-Phong recently joined as its managing director to spearhead the rollout of ShopBack In-Store and ShopBack Pay in Thailand, Taiwan and Australia. In his role, Ng will be responsible for driving merchant adoption and forging strategic partnerships in these two product lines. According to ShopBack then, Ng's appointment comes after the group's foray into the fintech and payments space

ShopBack also appointed former associate marketing director at Klook Travel, Emily Tan, as its head of marketing in Malaysia in December last year. As head of marketing, Tan told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE then that she is responsible for assisting users to navigate the sales dates and deals with the different brands.
