Oceanus Media Global, a creative media tech company owned by Oceanus Group, has launched an immersive media studio known as Futurealistic Studio. Valued at SG$5 million, the studio aims to help businesses create customised immersive media productions, to deliver distinctive brand experiences. Oceanus Media Global plans to expand its current team of 50 by half within the next two years. According to The Straits Times, the job openings will be related to producing immersive content.
Nick Tan, CEO, Oceanus Media Global said that the studio will serve as a platform for clients to get a taste of what futurealistic experiences could be like, and looks forward to creating many more memorable experiences that will leave a lasting impression for audiences everywhere.
"When we brought together various agencies that are industry leaders in their own specialised fields, our vision was to create a team that delivers the next generation of immersive brand experiences. The launch of our Futurealistic Studio will raise the bar for immersive media productions in Singapore and we are excited to be at the forefront of our industry," he added.
According to the company, what sets it apart is its ability to blend XR, AR, MR, and VR technologies into "a singular customised virtual experience to meet any brand’s vision". "This is made possible with its extensive investments into cutting-edge equipment and developing the specialised knowledge and technical expertise needed to operate the studio," it explained. Live streams and broadcasts can also be augmented with motion capture equipment to create immersive and interactive digital concerts in the metaverse.
Oceanus Media Group has been working with businesses to create digitally-driven experiences that merge experimental thinking, immersive media and marketing innovation. Some of the brands it has worked with include DBS, Disney, HP, Marina Bay Sands, Netflix, Maybank, Razer, Singtel and Singapore Airlines.
Separately, Oceanus Media Global was launched in October last year, which saw Oceanus Group consolidate its multimedia acquisitions - AP Media, Resolute Communications and Anomalyst Studio - under a single entity. It also launched an associate company, Aquarii to further extend the Group's regional presence. Aquarii will focus on providing advisory services and facilitating the entry of Singapore and international companies into Cambodia.
