Singapore-based video platform and studio Viddsee has announced its expansion into the Malaysian market. The entry into Malaysia follows Viddsee's recent launch into Thailand, signaling the company's growing footprint in the region and its commitment to offering integrated marketing solutions across key ASEAN markets.
As a part of its foray into Malaysia, Viddsee has also appointed Jay Murali, an industry veteran as its new group business director.
In his role as group business director, Murali will be responsible for overseeing the business development strategy, client servicing, and partnership building in Malaysia. He will also play a regional role, working closely with the leadership team to align growth initiatives across Viddsee’s Southeast Asian markets.

Murali brings over 20 years of experience in advertising, digital marketing, branding, and business development. He has led award-winning campaigns and built high-performing strategies for top-tier brands including Cetaphil Malaysia, Astro, Heineken, Air Selangor, Malaysia Airlines, Khazanah Malaysia, and Tony Roma’s.
With expertise in client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and multi-channel execution, Viddsee said that Murali is well-positioned to grow the platform's presence and impact in Malaysia.
“Our vision is to be the go-to creative and marketing partner for brands in Asia,” said Ho Jia Jian, chief executive officer and founder of Viddsee.
“Malaysia is a key market in that journey. Following our expansion in Thailand, we’re excited to welcome Jay onboard to deepen our regional offering and continue building campaigns that resonate with local audiences while delivering measurable impact," he added.
Viddsee is a video platform and studio which offers a full suite of services encompassing creative strategy, video production, influencer engagement, media planning and buying, content distribution, and performance tracking—providing a seamless solution for brands seeking both creativity and return on investment (ROI).
It is known for its innovative storytelling through short-form premium content and has over 3 billion views and a community of more than 5,000 storytellers.
In January this year, Viddsee appointed Venus Romsaitong as the general manager of its Thailand operations, to lead Viddsee's Thailand office and oversee operations and spearhead business development efforts to expand the company’s client portfolio in the growing market. Romsaitong reports to Christopher Cumming, VP of commercial at Viddsee.
Viddsee said that its expansion across Malaysia and Thailand underscores its broader mission to scale culturally resonant, story-driven marketing across Asia, backed by strong local talent and a robust regional infrastructure.
Earlier in 2024, Viddsee partnered with Chinese content investment and licensing company Risingjoy to bring Chinese micro drama content to SEA viewers.
Riding on this rising trend of micro dramas, this partnership aims to accelerate this momentum by presenting selected Chinese micro drama titles to SEA viewers while initiating cooperative production ventures in the region.
Since 2022, Viddsee has been producing original vertical microseries, resulting in a significant uptick in viewership and engagement on the platform, thus affirming the rising trend of micro dramas.
