Publicis Groupe has appointed Elya Eusoff (pictured), former GM at Ruder Finn Malaysia, as its GM for MSL Malaysia. In his new role, Eusoff will lead and further strengthen MSL’s end-to-end integrated communications offerings, while accelerating Publicis' innovative influence proposition. Eusoff brings a wealth of experience in PR, digital marketing, and marketing communications to his new role. During his time at Ruder Finn Malaysia, he oversaw the agency's integrated marketing communications efforts.

Prior to that, Eusoff was director of digital PR at Bonsey Jaden, where he focused on developing end-to-end integrated PR and branding campaigns for local and regional clients across different industries; according to his LinkedIn. He also oversaw and managed teams to ensure seamless PR-led activations across the APAC region.

Eusoff also said that he is excited to be joining MSL during the rise of the platform era. " With platforms serving consumers with abundant amounts of content, I am eager to collaborate and create humanized, relatable campaigns in collaboration with the leadership team of Publicis Groupe in realising the client’s business objectives,” he said. Meanwhile, A+M understands that Umesh Nair has left his role as managing partner at MSL Malaysia.

Margaret Key, CEO for APAC and MEA, MSL said that she is pleased to welcome Eusoff to the MSL family. "The industry is evolving, and MSL has developed an exceptional approach to client service that prioritises digital media and social influence. Eusoff's extensive understanding of digital PR and influence will undoubtedly ensure that we can put together the best, most agile solutions that ultimately drive business impact for our clients," she added.

Neil Hudspeth, CEO of Publicis Groupe Malaysia and global client lead for APAC, Publicis Groupe, said that PR has evolved rapidly to become a crucial component for brands trying to win in a platform world. "With digital content and experience-first approach, coupled with the right Influencer and earned media strategies, I am looking forward to accelerating our holistic customer-centric PR solutions that will continue to drive our clients’ and the Groupe's growth," he added.

Separately, Publicis Groupe recently made a slew of new hires and promotions as well. Laurent Thevenet joined the network as head of creative technology for APAC and MEA, based in Singapore. At the same time, Anna Tomasetti came on board as creative community manager, APAC and MEA, while Barbara Messer joined as head of creative PR, APAC and MEA. They report to Natalie Lam, chief creative officer, APAC and MEA, and will work with her to strengthen the creative community and creative product across the region.
