Dentsu International has named Fred Levron its global chief creative officer, effective 1 November. Levron will lead the network’s holistic creative agenda and its portfolio of creative agencies worldwide, joining from FCB where he has served as worldwide creative partner for more than four years since 2016, according to his LinkedIn.

According to dentsu, together with global CCO Susan Credle, Levon helped lead a creative transformation in FCB. Prior to FCB,  Levron was part of the leadership team at entertainment and sports agency, Creative Artists Agency, as its global executive creative director for two years from 2014. He also held several positions over his 10-year tenure at Ogilvy Paris where he helped transform the agency into a global creative powerhouse. Some notable global brands he has worked with include Coke Zero, Louis Vuitton, Ford, Google, Mattel, among others, as stated on his LinkedIn.

The global chief creative officer hire accelerates dentsu’s creative ambitions across its agencies and for its clients, said the agency. Together with Wendy Clark, global CEO dentsu international, the agency said that Levron will build on dentsu international’s current capabilities and storied Japanese creative roots. He will also be responsible for the network’s creative product and accelerating creativity across the entirety of dentsu international’s creative, media and CXM agency brands, as it seeks to transform to become the most integrated network in the world.

This appointment continues dentsu’s momentum in the marketplace including the recent launch of its global solution dentsu health in April earlier this year, its acquisition of commerce and customer experience business, LiveArea and major client wins and expansions including P&G, GSK, LinkedIn, Kroger, Heineken, Galderma and American Express.

Levron said that his entire career has been driven by the ambition to transform the agencies and network he was part of and build brands and businesses through the power of modern creativity. “We have the opportunity to build a unique creative company that brings creativity, tech, data, media, entertainment and commerce together to become the most attractive place for talents out there and the most relevant partner for the biggest brands,” he added.

Clark said that Levron has one of the most lauded portfolios and creative reputations in the business. "His appointment accelerates and emphasizes the importance of creativity as the hallmark of everything we do," she added.

More recently this month, dentsu group named its global CEO of dentsu international's creative services line Jean Lin as its new executive officer, with effect from 1 August. This proposition will accelerate client growth by bringing together dentsu's deep understanding of consumers and commitments to society, with creativity and technology, to create an ecosystem of co-creation with clients and partners to drive "growth from good", said dentsu.
