Celcom Axiata has selected Mindshare Malaysia to handle integrated media duties for two years following a pitch. Mindshare will be responsible for integrated strategic media planning and buying, as well as all integrated communication for above the line, brand activation and digital for Celcom in Malaysia.
Mindshare Malaysia's MD Dheeraj Raina said telcos have elevated their role from connectivity pipeline to an enabler of experience. According to him, Celcom is at the forefront of that evolution in Malaysia with its products and 5G future focus and we are thrilled on this opportunity.
"We have built a single view of customer for Celcom based on our precision marketing capability and with Celcom’s product innovation, we are confident of delivering a immensely delightful consumer experience for the brand," he added.
Earlier this year, the telco appointed Imri Mokhtar as its COO to further strengthen the telco’s endeavour in operational excellence. He offers leadership in the technology, digital transformation and various corporate functions within the group. This includes network operations, digital enablement, IT, business transformations, program management, regulatory, legal and other corporate functions, driving operational excellence throughout the organisation.
Meanwhile during Ramadan, Celcom treated children, single mothers and senior citizens from various charity homes nationwide to unique festive treats. Charity homes in Klang Valley such as Rumah Titian Kaseh Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur, Pusat Jagaan Amal Syurga in Sungai Buloh, Rumah Anak Yatim Asnaf Assolihin in Kanchong Darat, and a shelter home for the elderly at Pusat Jagaan Mahmudah in Semenyih, along with a few other orphanages were involved in the initiative.
