Wunderman Thompson ECD Paul Lim has joined Grey Group Malaysia in the same role. He told A+M in a statement that he is "honoured to join the good people at Grey" as he has been admiring their work from afar over the last few years. "To join them brings [me] a lot of excitement, and a bit of jitters to be honest. But discomfort is always good. I am looking forward to doing more great work and to carry on building on the legacy Malaysia CCO Graham Drew, CEO Irene Wong, and the team have started," Lim (pictured) added.
Drew told A+M that Lim's track record speaks for itself. "He brings a fresh perspective and few people know the market here as well as he does. We are growing and having such a smart senior creative at the heart of the agency gives me confidence that we will be raising the bar even higher," Drew said, adding that he is excited about what the team is going to deliver in 2021.
Lim was previously with Wunderman Thompson as ECD for a year. According to his LinkedIn, Lim said he "prefers more hands on creating, evolving, and building" and ventured into new grounds to continue bridging big ideas to new channels. Prior to that, he was with Naga DDB as deputy ECD for more than three years, leading up the Digi team, his LinkedIn said. Before returning to Malaysia, Lim spent about seven years in the Hong Kong, working as a creative director in Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Cheil, according to his LinkedIn.
