Wipro Unza’s halal skincare and beauty brand Safi is on the hunt for a creative agency in Malaysia and the appointment will be for two years. Wipro Unza's spokesperson confirmed the news to A+M, adding that incumbent Wunderman Thompson has been invited to defend the account.

According to the spokesperson, the whole process will take approximately two to three months and a few possible agency partners will be shortlisted post-RFI. Safi is seeking creativity in the beauty and personal care category and strong local insights, as well as innovation and operational excellence. Wipro Unza's spokesperson added that for 2020, it will focus on deriving local insights to drive product innovation and emerging trends that define marketing creativity.

Wipro Unza aims to achieve RM1 billion in group level revenue within the next five to six years, an increase from its current revenue contribution of RM600 million. Chief executive Sriram Krishnamurthy told A+M previously that the revenue will come from Wipro Unza and LD Waxsons and potential gains from global acquisitions such as Splash Corporation in the Malaysia market.

Earlier this year, Wipro Unza appointed PHD Malaysia to manage integrated media duties for two years with the option to renew for another.  Meanwhile in 2018, it named Saki Goh GM- marketing to oversee the start-to-end marketing function, including the development and implementation of brand strategies, as well as new and existing products.
