Global communications firm WE Communications has appointed three sector leads to its Singapore leadership team. This includes Alicia Eu (pictured left) as the head of corporate; Sophia Hsu (pictured right) as the head of technology; and Sahana Prabhakar (pictured centre) as the head of healthcare.

Each of the three new leaders will be responsible for overseeing and growing their respective sector’s client base. Newly promoted Eu has nearly a decade’s experience in corporate communications with a strong focus on the financial services sector. During her three years at WE, Eu worked in three of the agency’s APAC offices. She started at WE’s Sydney office, where she managed a corporate client portfolio including Allianz Australia, HCF and Perpetual Limited, then spent a year in WE’s Hong Kong office prior to her move to Singapore.

Hsu was also promoted from within WE, in recognition of her more than 15 years of experience in public relations and integrated marketing communications and business results in working with multinational clients across the region. Most recently serving as head of technology, Shanghai at WE Red Bridge, Hsu provided strategic counsel and delivered integrated campaigns for brands such as Honeywell, iRobot and OSRAM to name a few. She will be replacing former head of technology Keng Wee Ng, who left the agency in October.

Newly appointed Prabhakar joins WE from Edelman Malaysia where she led and grew the agency’s healthcare practice for over six years. In her 13-year career, Prabhakar led integrated marketing campaigns for major healthcare brands such as Astellas, AstraZeneca, Danone, Gilead Sciences, GSK, Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Roche and Unilever including some campaigns for Pfizer and Novartis.

"We are thrilled to have Eu, Prabhakar and Hsu join the WE Singapore leadership team. Their combined decades of experience in their respective sectors and unique regional perspectives positions them strongly to partner with our clients in the region and lead our local team. Eu and Hsu's promotions are a testament to WE’s continued commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders and to fostering an environment where our people want to stay and grow their careers," said Rebecca Wilson, EVP of Singapore and Australia.

Meanwhile, WE Communications’ Singapore CEO Jeremy Seow recently said he will be leaving the agency. Seow was promoted in March this year from managing director to CEO of the Singapore operations. He told Marketing then that he will be working on a passion project and continue working with people and organisations to connect data and content. Prior to joining WE, he was formerly MD of Zeno Group, a role he held since 2014. In his regional role with Zeno, Seow was responsible for partnering with key clients to formulate, recommend and implement digital strategies to advance business objectives.
