VMLY&R Indonesia names Din Sumedi chief creative officer

VMLY&R has appointed Din Sumedi as chief creative officer in Indonesia, to lead the creative direction for the agency.Sumedi will be responsible for driving creative excellence for VMLY&R in the country, with a mandate to build and lead the agency’s creative team in line with VMLY&R’s mission to harness creativity, technology and culture in order to drive real value for clients. Based in Jakarta, he will report to Mudit Trivedi, managing director, VMLY&R Indonesia.Sumedi (pictured), who is originally from Singapore, has more than 16 years of hands-on advertising industry experience, most recently as chief creative officer for Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia, a role he held for six years. In this role, he was responsible for the agency’s creative output in brand, social, digital and public relations, also driving the expansion of the agency through digital acceleration and by developing and integrating the agency’s specialist units into one cohesive department. Before this time, he was chief creative officer, Lowe & Partners, Jakarta.Mudit Trivedi, managing director, VMLY&R Indonesia, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sumedi to the VMLY&R team.
