Brand and customer experience agency, VMLY&R is promoting Paul Nagy (pictured) as its chief creative officer of Australia and New Zealand (AUNZ) to chief creative officer APAC. In his new role, Nagy will oversee 21 offices across ten countries throughout Asia and AUNZ. He will help strengthen client partnerships and create deeper connections between brands and their audiences through storytelling and creative innovation, said VMLY&R.

Nagy brings to the role over two decades of experience. He first joined the agency as chief creative officer of legacy brand Y&R, before being elevated to chief creative officer of Australia and New Zealand at VMLY&R in 2018.

“My job is a simple one - support the amazing talent we have in our network and let them be the best they can be. I’m incredibly lucky to work with such a talented team across Australia and New Zealand, and I’m already impressed with the capability and firepower we have across the rest of Asia. I’m absolutely thrilled to take on such an exciting, extended role," said Nagy.

Adding on, Yi-Chung Tay, the CEO of VMLY&R in Asia said that the team is excited and pleased to be working with Nagy in his new capacity. "Those of us in Asia who have worked with him before know first-hand his ability to bring substantial impact, not just to the creative work, but to the business and teams he works with," Tay said.

Recently, VMLY&R also appointed Didi Pirinyuang as its new chief creative officer. In her new role, Pirinyuang will lead the agency’s creative team in delivering solutions for clients, sharpening its creative culture and driving its strategy to boost the agency’s creative service offerings. She will be succeeding Chan Woei Hern who has now joined VaynerMedia as its new head of creative for the APAC region.

According to a statement from VMLY&R, Pirinyuang’s extensive experience spanning a wide range of consumer segments is an asset to the agency’s regional operations and feeds into its ongoing strategy to attract the industry’s best talent. Known in the industry as a "creative unicorn" for her standout work, partnering with clients such as Pizza Hut, PUMA and PETRONAS, Pirinyuang brings with her two decades of hands-on industry experience, including the management of creative teams, said the agency.
