VCCP Singapore has appointed Kelvin Lim (pictured) as head of art. The appointment comes following new business wins at the start of the year and strong ongoing growth for the agency. The appointment also allows the agency to provide more for existing clients as well as seasoned mentorship to develop the existing creative team.

Andrew Hook, ECD of VCCP Singapore, said that Lim is a gifted craftsman, a highly considered thinker, and a natural mentor to young creatives. “He brings to the table an abundance of experience, maturity and passion for the work – the perfect fit for our growing team as we enter the next phase of our expansion,” he added.

Lim brings with him over 15 years of experience working on iconic brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Qatar Airways, as well as homegrown brands such as FairPrice and Singapore Airlines. Lim said that it is great to be part of the VCCP family and he is excited with the opportunity to share his experiences with the team.

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to VCCP Singapore for comment.

Lim’s appointment, alongside Guy Futcher’s recent appointment as creative director, adds additional seniority to the team, which includes Hook and Shervin Seah, associate creative director. VCCP said in a statement that it is building an agency for the long-term and looking past short-term fixes. In the last twelve months, VCCP Singapore has concentrated on diversifying its offerings launching its B2B business.

VCCP Singapore unveiled its global content creation studio named Girl&Bear in November last year. The studio delivers content creation, global production services and a bespoke technology solution. Led by MD Claire Young, executive head of product Anthony Austin, and global head of operations Dan Montalbano, the new production studio services VCCP’s global network across eight markets including London, where it is headquartered, Singapore, Shanghai, Madrid, Prague, San Francisco, New York, and Sydney. Girl&Bear launched with a large portfolio of clients including Domino’s, O2 and White Claw. Some of the campaigns it worked on include Domin-oh-hoo-hoo for Domino’s and The O2 in Fortnite Creative for O2.

More recently, the agency launched its new gaming proposition, VCCP+, which aims to help brands navigate and leverage the gaming metaverse. With VCCP+, the agency will develop data-backed solutions to help brands build long-term value in the space and challenge the ways gaming is traditionally viewed and activated. VCCP+ also aims to upskill and tip the balance for modern marketers with its unique approach and offering. It is led by CEO, Jonny Shaw and head of strategy, Sashi Nair.
