VCCP Singapore has bolstered its operations by bringing on board Jaslyn Lam (pictured left) as business director and Guy Futcher (pictured right) as regional creative director. According to the agency, the appointments bring new levels of experience and expertise to VCCP and continue its drive to grow and expand its service offerings. It recently launched an in-house content and production studio Girl&Bear as part of its efforts to diversify its offerings this year. Other new areas include its specialist B2B service VCCP Business, as well as branding and social media divisions.
Lam will report directly into CEO, Craig Mapleston, leading clients such as Cathay Pacific, Johnson & Johnson and Shell. In Lam’s role, she will take on the leadership of the account handling department. She most recently at GOVT and has worked across a wide spectrum of industries, particularly F&B, financial services and lifestyle. According to VCCP, Lam is passionate about the increasing use of technology and data analytics to tell a seamless omni-channel brand story to enhance each customer’s experience. She is also well adapted at working on fast-paced accounts such as Pizza Hut, Audi, ANZ Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and OCBC.
Lam said she is really excited to be part of VCCP Singapore and the wider network. "I love the challenger mentality and especially in a time like this, where many industry sectors are going through business transformation very rapidly, it is that mentality and ability to provide solutions beyond what is seen as current standards that will continue to propel VCCP into the future. And I am ready to be part of its growth in Singapore," she added.
Futcher has over 15 years of experience across Australia and Singapore, leading multiple local and global accounts, including McDonald's, VW, Samsung, Netflix, Tourism Australia and TAB. He now reports into ECD, Andrew Hook, and will be working across VCCP’s entire portfolio of clients. Guy explained that he has admired the VCCP brand globally for years. "They’re creative, ambitious and super-talented yet down to earth. That perfect combination of independence and scale. To see first-hand what Mapleston, Hook and the team have done with the Singapore office in such a short and turbulent time, is inspiring. I look forward to joining an already formidable team," he added.
Mapleston said the team is really excited to have Lam and Futcher joining them. "They have a great mix of Singapore and international experience, they are both proven leaders, and have a similar talent for motivating and empowering their teams. They’ll be fantastic additions to the agency and our clients’ businesses," he said.
