Global creative and media agency VaynerMedia APAC has named Monchaya Koolawong (pictured) as its new country manager for Thailand, according to VaynerMedia in a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
Monchaya succeeds Auu Arunee and assumes her role immediately, reporting to Tim Lindley, VaynerMedia APAC’s managing director.

In her new role, Koolawong will take charge of further expanding VaynerMedia’s presence and business growth in Thailand. Her primary focus is to deliver strategic solutions that not only strengthen clients' brands but that also drive significant business impact while maximising investments.
Koolawong has successfully guided top global and local brands such as L’Oreal, Unicharm, Samsung, Toyota, Lexus, and leading retail brands and banks in Thailand through a transformative era where creativity and technology seamlessly converge in marketing and communications.
Before her role at VaynerMedia, Koolawong led Accenture Song Thailand as its managing director, dedicating six years to guiding clients through a transformative era where creativity and technology seamlessly converged in marketing and communications.
Other noteworthy positions in her career include digital director at Dentsu Thailand, where she guided a team in delivering comprehensive digital services, spearheading a digital media team at Maxus, a GroupM agency, and overseeing the marketing and content department for a prominent mobile content and services provider in Thailand.
“I couldn't be more thrilled to welcome Koolawong to VaynerMedia. Her exceptional blend of ambition, unwavering commitment to her teams, and sharp focus on driving meaningful business results have distinguished her in senior positions across brands, agencies, and consulting firms,” said Lindley.
“There was an instant synergy between her vision and our mission, and it fills me with optimism for the journey ahead. Under her leadership, I am confident we are on the cusp of a new era of growth and innovation in Thailand,“ he added.
“I believe in meaningful communication with a purpose, placing people at its core. Recognising that people today inhabit both digital and physical worlds, it’s increasingly important to understand individuals through their physical and digital footprints,” Koolawong said.
“Creativity fueled by fresh insights –– keeping a pulse on culture and ongoing
conversations –– can create more powerful and emotionally resonant messages than visually striking ads alone. Having embraced the VaynerMedia methodology, I am confident that this model will be instrumental in forging deeper connections between brands and people in Thailand. I am excited to drive this forward,” she added.
The news comes shortly after VaynerMedia appointed Chan Woei Hern earlier this year as its new head of creative for the APAC region, succeeding VJ Anand, who recently took on a global and EMEA creative mandate, based at the agency’s London office.
An industry pioneer with extensive experience across consumer segments, Chan’s appointment further strengthens VaynerMedia’s credentials as an integrated consumer-centric agency. He also brings over two decades of experience in the advertising world across the creative, media, content and film segments.
