Tiger Brokers hands PR mandate to Hill+Knowlton Strategies in HK

Online trading platform Tiger Brokers has appointed Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) as its PR agency in Hong Kong, responsible for the public relations and corporate communications work of Tiger Brokers and its subsidiary in Hong Kong.

Established in 2014, Tiger Brokers has grown over the years and currently has over 1.9 million customers worldwide, with annual trading volume of more than US$404.3 billion, as of December 2021. Back in August last year, Tiger Brokers came on board as the official sponsor of the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup. Its brand was prominently displayed on pitch-side advertising boards, in-stadium TV advertisements, digital and social media and official event collaterals. This marked Tiger Brokers’ first-ever partnership with Southeast Asia’s flagship international football competition and saw the firm became the tournament’s official online trading platform for stocks, options, funds and futures. It was also responsible for delivering fan engagement and promotional activities with authentic branded content to connect with football fans.
On the other hand, H+K is a global public relations and communications agency under the WPP Group. Back in October last year, it bolstered for Hong Kong with two promotions, promoted Angela Kung and Madison Wai as its vice president of financial communications and vice president of corporate communications respectively.
As co-general manager of H+K Hong Kong, Kung and Wai partnered to lead the firm’s business development and operations in Hong Kong. Being the leadership group of H+K Greater Bay Area, Kung, Wai and Emily Yin, senior vice president of H+K Strategies China and general manager of H+K Southern China all reported to Jun Xu, CEO, H+K China, on their collective responsibility to drive operational integration and continued growth in the sub-region.

Back in June 2020, H+K was reappointed by Singapore Tourism Board (STB) for public relations duties for the seventh consecutive year in Seoul, South Korea. The appointment was for an additional two years starting in May 2020, and followed a competitive multi-agency pitch.
