The Royal Albatross appoints new head of marketing

Lesley Renton has been appointed as head of marketing for Tall Ship Adventures. She will join The Royal Albatross management team and will grow the brand and business internationally and within Singapore by building and strengthening brand awareness and growing sales. She will also be involved in the launch of new product offerings and the acquisition of new partnership.

When MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out, Renton noted that she will be based in Singapore and that she will be reporting to Peter Pela, the founder and CEO of Tall Ship Adventures.

Prior to joining The Royal Albatross, Renton helmed the marketing team at Greenpark as its head of marketing and demand generation for just over two years. In her role, Renton helped transform Greenpark into one of the fastest growing digital agencies in APAC, driving growth and winning significant pitches for global and regional client accounts. 

She has also had stints at boutique Clearwater Communcations as its general manager and director of marketing and at Travelodge Hotels Asia as its assistant vice president of marketing.

He continued by saying that her appointment is part of the team's strategy to scale up and strengthen the Royal Albatross management team in order to escalate brand awareness and consumer acquisition in Singapore and internationally particularly following the pandemic. 

The Royal Albatross has also recently welcomed Calvin Ng onto their team as their assistant CEO. Ng brings with him over 10 years of marketing experience after holding various positions in a variety of successful companies. Ng was head of Goodwill entertainment's marketing department for just over two years, during which he managed to increase overall sales and revenue for the company, as well as spearheaded the creation and curation of social media marketing collateral.
