Weber Shandwick promotes Arif Rajab to general manager of SG

Communications agency Weber Shandwick has promoted Arif Rajab to the role of general manager of Singapore.
Arif has been at the agency for over eight years, starting in 2016 as a manager, integrated digital strategy according to his LinkedIn. Arif rose through the ranks as senior manager, integrated media and account director, integrated media before taking on the role of vice president in 2021 and senior vice president in 2023.
During his time with the company, Arif lead Weber Shandwick's integrated media strategy team and drives the agency's capability building programmes to develop integrated PR competencies. He also focused on strengthening areas such as social media marketing, influencer marketing, digital advertising, and brand activations for the firm, according to his LinkedIn page.
Currently, Weber Shandwick boasts brands such as Mastercard, Emirates and Netflix as clients.

Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Arif held positions across various agencies, including senior vice president at Current Global, account manager at AKA Asia and senior consultant at Cohn & Wolfe. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out for more information.
Weber Shandwick's parent company, Interpublic Group (IPG) has also seen recent movements. Last month, Omnicom initiated a US$13.25 billion all stock deal to acquire IPG. The combined company will bring together the industry’s deepest bench of marketing talent, and the broadest and most innovative services and products, driven by the most advanced sales and marketing platform.
Together, the companies will expand their capacity to create comprehensive full-funnel solutions that deliver better outcomes for the world’s most sophisticated clients. Upon the acquisition, the new Omnicom will have over 100,000 expert practitioners. The company will deliver end-to-end services across media, precision marketing, CRM, data, digital commerce, advertising, healthcare, public relations and branding.
