TBWA\Singapore has made a slew of new promotions beginning with Chew Fung Wee (pictured left) moving up as its new general manager. Chew was previously the agency's new business director.

Working closely with the agency leadership team led by Mandy Wong, president of TBWA\Singapore, Chew has played a pivotal role in the agency’s recent achievements.

In her new role, Chew will oversee the onboarding of major new business wins and build new business streams to accelerate growth for the agency alongside Wong. In addition, Chew will oversee the BBDO operations Singapore, which is part of the TBWA\Group in Singapore.

The agency has also named Yong Ping Loo (pictured centre) as its new executive creative director. Yong has been with the agency for just under four years and was promoted to the position from his role as deputy executive creative director.

He joined the agency in 2021 as its creative director. In his time at TBWA\Singapore, Yong has been creative lead on global, regional and local campaigns for Singapore Airlines, Health Promotion Board, Hilton, FairPrice, Mandai Wildlife Reserve and National Museum of Singapore.

“Yong is ambitious, talented and full of charisma. He is a natural leader who drives and inspires his team to great work. To his clients, he is a reliable partner with a save pair of hands. Ping joins Asheen Naidu, also ECD. They complement each other and together they will lead our agency to the next level of bold, brave and disruptive work,” said Pete Khoury, CCO for TBWA\Asia.

Prior to joining the agency, Yong was with Ogilvy & Mather for just under seven years. He joined the team in 2014 as its senior art director and climbed the ranks to become creative director in 2017. In his role, he oversaw campaigns for Changi Airport Group, MCCY, National Museum Singapore and more.

He has also held roles with Tribal Worldwide, International Enterprise Singapore and Red Bee Media to name a few.

Finally, TBWA\Singapore has promoted Eleni Sardi (pictured right) to the role of head of brand management. With a proven track record in managing high-profile accounts such as Singapore Airlines and National Museum of Singapore, Sardi is responsible for further elevating client management and business growth for our clients, it said.

"We have come a long way in the last two years, and to get to where we are today takes resilience, commitment, talent and passion. And the promotions of Chew, Yong and Sardi are evidence that they each possess these qualities, and more. I’m proud of how each of them has excelled in their respective roles and are so very deserving of these new positions. Along with the wider leadership team, I am proud of what we have achieved together but above all I’m proud of the impact they’ve had on the culture of our agency,” said Wong.

This announcement comes off the back of recent promotions of Abhinit Agarwal to executive strategy director, and Germaine Chen and Lauren Lim to creative directors.

The news also comes shortly after Omnicom said that it would be launching a new global organisation that brings together some of its creative networks under one leadership.

The new Omnicom Advertising Group (OAG) will include major agencies BBDO, DDB, TBWA as well as leading agencies within the advertising collective including Goodby Silverstein & Partners, GSD&M, Merkley & Partners and Zimmerman.

OAG will be led by Troy Ruhanen as global CEO, Deepthi Prakesh as chief operating officer and Denis Streiff as global CFO.
