Media Chinese International Limited (Malaysia Operation), the publisher of Sin Chew Daily, has promoted Tan Lee Chin to the newly created role of group COO, for content and strategy. Tan (pictured above) was most recently chief operating officer, content and commercial at Sin Chew Media Corporation. Tan said in a LinkedIn post that her portfolio will still focus on growth strategy in revenue and audience but at a group level. She reports to Eugene Wong, executive director, MCIL and Sin Chew Media Corporation.

Tan has been with Sin Chew Media Corporation since 2008 starting as a reporter before rising up the ranks to become deputy chief, culture and education department. As a result, she has grown familiar with the media industry. "For the groundwork of the group initiative, she has been working with colleagues within the Group and getting very good synergy out of it. She will continue to ride on this positive energy to create values for our audience and clients towards the goal of growing our audience base and revenue," Wong (pictured below) told A+M.
