
McCann Singapore expands creative team ahead of 50th anniversary

McCann Singapore has expanded its creative team in response to several recent business wins and portfolio growth, ahead of the agency's 50th anniversary in the country.
Originating from Uruguay, Martin Coppola (pictured left) joins McCann as its creative director after a career at global agencies such as VML, Ogilvy, Mullen Lowe, and most recently, the LEGO Group in Denmark as global creative lead. Coppola’s leadership will be focused on the agency’s regional DHL and Ferrero accounts.

Wynn Gray (pictured second left) joins McCann as art director with experience working on brands such as SK-II, The Faceshop, Samsung, and Fairprice. In his new role, Gray will be working on Singapore government business, Ferrero and DHL.
On the other hand, Seth Low (pictured right) snags his first full-time position as McCann's newest junior art director, while Luna Teo (pictured middle), McCann's newest copywriter, joins the agency from Goodstuph, where she created copy for clients such as MCCY and UOB. Jodi Ong (pictured second right) will also be working with McCann Content Studio team across both Singapore government and MNC clients as its new junior copywriter.
Additionally, Valerie Madon, chief creative officer (CCO), McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific (APAC) now takes on the expanded role of CCO, McCann Worldgroup Singapore.
Madon said, "We believe that these significant new hires, will not only enhance our creative offering but also position us for future growth. These colourful talents inject new energy to our team, and their diverse experiences will shape our agency's future."
In tandem, Nick Handel, president, McCann Worldgroup Southeast Asia said, "This year marks the 50th anniversary of McCann in Singapore. We’re investing in this strategic growth to enhance our ability to deliver innovative solutions and exceptional service to our clients, allowing us to further strengthen our position in the industry.”

The new hires join Dan Parmenter, who joined the agency back in October as a creative director leading the McCann Content Studio offering, as well as the agency’s executive creative direcor, Alfred Wee.
Parmenter has previously worked with top agencies, including Ogilvy, TBWA, FCB, Y&R and M&C Saatchi and his work has been recognised globally. Some recent highlights include launching Sprite Zero’s first global campaign and finding out that Banksy once called one of his campaigns “a piece of art” on Twitter.
In August last year, McCann Worldgroup Southeast Asia launched McCann Content Studios, a culture-first editorial and entertainment studio focused on creating content, experiences and conversations that move at the speed of social, it said in a statement.
Operating out of both Singapore and Bangkok, McCann Content Studios house the network’s social, editorial and influencer strategy capabilities; social creative ideation and content creation; in-house end-to-end production and post-production, social audience and connection strategies and activation; influencer content co-creation and production; and performance measurement and optimisation.
