Marketing agency BOING!, a fully remote firm with the goal of disrupting traditional agency models, has opened shop with founder Ailsa Tan at its helm.

BOING! offers a suite of services including advertising, branding, digital marketing, events, public relations, and strategy planning.

BOING! is also poised to disrupt traditional agency models with a new approach to work culture and client service. Embracing a paradigm shift towards remote collaboration and work–life integration, BOING! hopes to redefine the boundaries of what it means to be a marketing agency in the modern era, it said in a statement.

As the world grapples with the challenges of the pandemic, remote work has emerged as a viable and effective solution for businesses across industries, it said.  Recognising the inherent advantages of remote collaboration, BOING! made the strategic decision to operate exclusively as a remote agency rather than a hybrid one.

Unlike conventional agencies tethered to brick-and-mortar offices, BOING! operates as an agency without walls, empowering its team to work from anywhere in the world. This innovative model not only fosters a culture of trust and autonomy but also ensures that talent is not confined by geographical limitations, allowing BOING! to tap into a global pool of creativity and expertise.

"In the wake of COVID-19, the traditional office-based model has become increasingly obsolete," said Ailsa Tan, founder of BOING!. "We've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of remote work, not just as a temporary solution, but as a long-term strategy for success. By fully embracing remote work, BOING! is not only future-proofing our operations but also unlocking new opportunities for collaboration and creativity," she said.

"As we navigate these unprecedented times, it's essential to embrace innovative solutions that prioritise both employee well-being and business continuity," Tan explained. "BOING! is committed to leading by example, demonstrating that remote work isn't just a temporary fix—it's a strategic advantage that drives success and sustainability.”

The agency was started by Tan who was previously chief consultant at Tan Consultants where she provided tailored business advisory services ranging from brand consulting to social media and digital campaigns.

Prior to that, she was chief operating officer at DigiMagic Communications. She stayed in the company for just under three years, managing strategic direction, procurement, profitability optimisation, and comprehensive departmental oversight.
