Lion & Lion has brought on board Jonathan Crawford (pictured) as ECD overseeing Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The newly created role is a key part of the agency's strategy to grow regional and local creative capabilities, and further strengthen its position across Asia.

Besides developing Lion & Lion’s internal creative capabilities, Crawford will be focusing on strengthening Lion & Lion’s position as a partner that delivers not only outstanding creative work but impactful results closely integrated with strategic thinking. His appointment follows recent regional hires such as Aji Bekti as creative director in Indonesia and Huy Tuan as creative lead in Vietnam.

Before Lion & Lion, he was the creative director at The Formery and associate creative director at Nomads Agency in Amsterdam. He has more than 15 years of experience in the advertising industry and has worked with clients including Danone, Adidas, Emirates, Guerrilla Games and Nikon.

“I’m really pleased to join Lion & Lion and have the opportunity to work at a strategic digital agency that challenges some of the established players in the region. I look forward to growing Lion & Lion’s creative capabilities and ensure we create customer experiences that are engaging, exceptional and memorable,” Crawford said.

Anthea Kahn, COO at Lion & Lion, said having Crawford onboard will strengthen its position in the region and its creative competencies across the organisation. "Crawford will be instrumental in making sure Lion & Lion has the right skills in-house to ensure we deliver strategic and impactful digital marketing to our clients," Kahn said.
