KFC Singapore delivers a ‘Pocket Fix’ for International Women’s Day

KFC Singapore has teamed up with creative agency R/GA and Singaporean made-to-measure denim brand Pinheads, to tackle fashion’s tiny pocket problem.
Alongside the return of its Trio Pocketts, KFC has introduced ‘The Pocket Fix’, a denim pocket attachment inspired by the exact dimensions of a KFC Pockett (13.5cm x 19cm) making it spacious enough to fit all essentials.

The pocket attachment crafted from Japanese denim, blends KFC’s signature colours of the Colonel’s bolo tie with Pinhead’s signature parallel tacks and metal hardware rooted in classic denim heritage.
To elevate the campaign, the fast food brand is collaborating with Singaporean influencers including Ian Thio, Kelly Tan and Queenie Lim, to flaunt the ‘Pocket Fix’ attachment on social media – using #PocketFix to call out the lack of functional pockets in women’s fashion.
Jalene Seah, co-founder of Pinheads said “In womenswear, pockets are often designed with aesthetics in mind rather than functionality, leaving us with impractical pockets that can’t even hold a phone.”
“Our Pocket Fix collaboration with KFC, inspired by the KFC Pockett’s unique shape and dimensions, allowed us to create a pocket that is not only spacious and practical but also stylish – proving that you don’t have to choose between form and function,” she added.
Meanwhile, Jaslyn Lam, marketing director at KFC said “Women have been complaining about tiny pockets for years. We want everyone to have pockets big enough to fit a KFC Pockett. We hope The Pocket Fix makes people smile – and maybe even makes fashion take note.”
Carmen Ang, senior art director, R/GA, added “The moment we realised our KFC Pocketts wouldn’t even fit in our own pockets, we had to laugh – because let’s be real, women’s pockets are kind of a joke. The idea clicked with everyone, no matter their gender. So, this International Women’s Day, we wanted to create something fun (and actually functional) to shine a light on the issue.”

The KFC x Pinheads Pocket worth $140 will be up for grabs through a lucky draw on KFC’s Instagram page. The pocket’s pattern is also available on Pinhead’s website, making it downloadable for anyone to create their own pockets.
With the ‘Pocket Fix’, KFC is saying goodbye to the everyday struggle of “only for show” shallow pockets that never fit anything.
