Lion & Lion appoints new group director of strategy and media integration

Southeast Asian network Lion & Lion has appointed Bilal Khan (pictured) as its group director of strategy and media integration. Khan will spearhead Lion & Lion's integrated strategy product, building synergies between data, creative, media and social to deliver high-quality connected and meaningful brand marketing solutions to clients to shape a better future for its business and customers.

Khan specialises in innovative brand marketing and driving business growth and is no stranger to Lion & Lion. He played a pivotal role in establishing the first strategy department at Lion & Lion, elevating the quality of strategic thinking within the organisation, and collaborating closely with creative, social, and media teams from 2019 to 2021, said Lion & Lion in a statement.

In his latest stint, Khan served as the regional strategy and planning director at McCann Worldgroup, leading brand strategy for McCann's creative and dotcom businesses. He also managed a team of strategists and fostered their growth as T-Shaped strategists in Singapore. Prior to that, Khan managed connections planning for Starcom on Samsung in the SEA regions and led brand experience for Digitas for Macallan, Coke, and Mercedes at Publicis Groupe

Khan will now oversee a team of professionals across regional hubs in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, further fueling the agency's growth and integration plans in his new role.
