
LG Electronics appoints DDB Philippines as social and digital lead

LG Electronics, a global leader in consumer electronics, has appointed DDB Philippines as its social and digital communications agency, as it aims to enhance its brand's engagement and reinforce its market leadership in the Philippines, DDB Philippines confirmed.
Shackie Caccam (pictured, centre), deputy executive creative director of DDB Philippines, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating that it reflects the strength of their people, creativity, and deep understanding of brands that make a difference in people's lives.
"Influencing the course and future of this leading global brand in the Philippines is a dream milestone for us at DDB, and a shoutout to the young team for their hard work and accountability to the craft," Caccam emphasised.

DDB Philippines, established in 1992, is the country's first integrated marketing communications and services network. The agency has a rich history of delivering award-winning advertising, digital, media, activations, and public relations services.
According to its website, the firm includes three agency networks - DDB PHL, DDB MNL, and Tribal Worldwide - alongside three specialist agencies: Ripple8, Agile Intelligence, and Bent and Buzz. Additionally, it operates seven strategic business units: Touch XDA, Optimax, Beyond, Field Outsource Asia, Philippine Movers, Strawberry Jam Creative Services Inc., and The Bernbach School.
Over the years, DDB Philippines has grown into a full-service communications group, making its impacts in both local and international markets for a diverse portfolio of clients, which include Smart, Meralco, and NutriAsia.
Meanwhile, LG Electronics, part of the LG Corporation conglomerate, operates several business segments, including home appliance and air solution, home entertainment, vehicle component solutions, and business solutions. In 2024, LG Electronics achieved its highest annual revenue in the company's history, reporting a consolidated revenue of 87.73 trillion Korean won (US$22.8 billion) and an operating profit of 3.42 trillion won (US$2.3 billion).
