Helen Lee has joined LinkedIn as agency lead for Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. She was previously with SPH Media Trust (SMT) as head, ad product development and innovation for close to three years.

In a LinkedIn post, Lee (pictured) said: "Life's an adventure and I am looking forward to gaining new experiences, building connections and pushing boundaries at my new role."

Lee joined SPH in 2019 and reported to then-CMO Ignatius Low. Two years later in May 2021, SPH hived off its media business to form SMT. During her time there, she led the development go-to-market strategy for SMT media products and omni-channel platforms with the goal of monetising audience, content and data, her LinkedIn said.

She was also said to have collaborated with adtech partners to champion innovative digital ad products and solutions for advertisers and spearheaded SMT’s migration to first-arty audience solutions that leverage the scale and quality of privacy-controlled audience data. Additionally, Lee also managed the media agency channel to develop joint business partnership plans with the six traditional advertising networks, her LinkedIn said. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to LinkedIn, Lee and SPH Media Trust for comment.

A well-known name in Singapore's adland, Lee was previously with Zenith Singapore as MD for four years where she was instrumental in forging strategic commercial partnerships with media vendors, took an ROI-driven approach in media planning to address vendors' key business and marketing challenges, and customised go-to-market strategies for their target geographical markets, among others.

She joined Zenith in 2012 as regional account director before rising up the ranks to GM and finally. Before that, she was with Starcom as associate director for five years. Lee also had a short stint as an assistant marketing manager at Motorola Mobility, according to her LinkedIn. Prior to that, she worked at Mindshare.
