HAVAS Ortega appoints new head of growth

HAVAS Ortega has appointed Rozzaine Valenzuela (pictured) as its new head of growth. She will also be the deputy general manager leading the Arena Media brand, effective immediately. 

As head of growth, Valenzuela will lead initiatives to expand the agency's client base and advance its service offerings. Meanwhile, in her role as deputy general manager of Arena Media brand media, she will oversee operations to ensure that the agency integrates strategies that deliver impactful results for its clients. 

In addition, she will be working directly with the various specialty teams of the HAVAS village.

“HAVAS Ortega is in expansion mode, having recently launched two specialist brands and five new service offerings. To ensure success, we need talent of Valenzuela's caliber. Valenzuela brings with her 15 years of experience in the media and advertising field. Prior to these roles, Valenzuela was most recently at Publicis Groupe Singapore where she took on the role of Southeast Asia and Taiwan business unit lead for over two years. She had also served as group media director and media director at Publicis Media in Makati, Philippines. 

Her other agency roles include associate media director at Spark Foundry, media manager at Zenith as well as exchange manager and exchange executive at Mindshare. 

According to her LinkedIn, she started her career at Zenith as an OOH and activations strategist in 2009 before taking on the role of media planner in November 2010.

Meanwhile, in Singapore, Havas Singapore promoted Kenny Yap to chief operating officer of Havas Play, a specialised division within Havas Media Network, as part of its expansion in Singapore.

Yap will work closely with Russell Lai, chief commercial officer of Havas Media Network Singapore, and both will continue to report to Rana Barua, group CEO, India, Southeast Asia and North Asia.

In his new role, Yap will spearhead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and partnerships aimed at fostering continued growth and innovation, in addition to his commercial and operational responsibilities. An additional key priority will be to broaden the reach of Havas Play in Southeast Asia, the agency said in a statement.
