Havas Media Group has made three leadership hires to bolster its Singapore and regional operations as part of its growth plans in the areas of data and digital excellence and strategic business leadership.

The Group has appointed Leroy Lim (pictured left) as strategic business lead for Singapore and regional growth and client lead for SEA, Deanson Lee (pictured right) as executive director of digital strategy and solutions, and Ellen Dunkley (pictured centre) as performance marketing lead in Singapore.

According to the Group, the appointments come at the back of strong business momentum and the increasing digitalisation ambitions of clients; as they bounce back from the pandemic to aggressively regain and grow their business through more agile marketing strategies.

Lim takes on the dual role of business partner and an integrated marketing communications consultant. He is tasked with elevating the strategic quality of client work and leading regional new business opportunities by deploying Havas’s proprietary MX planning framework. Lim has over two decades of experience in the advertising world, having taken leadership positions on both the publisher side as well as in agencies PHD, Zenith, and Starcom.

Meanwhile, Lee’s role as executive director of digital strategy and solutions sees him helm all paid digital, data, performance and eCommerce capabilities under the Group. Lee brings with him close to 10 years of digital marketing experience across agencies, client-side and consulting roles, in Havas Media, Group M, Nestle and Ebiquity. Over the course of his career, Lee has supported brands in their digital acceleration efforts across the full spectrum of digital marketing including integration of adtech and martech to drive ROI, optimisation and accountability in investment dollars.

Lastly, Dunkley will lead the performance marketing capabilities of Havas Media Singapore, reporting to Lee. She comes from Havas Media UK, where she worked for six and a half years and held the roles of head of paid search and director of performance marketing.

Jacqui Lim, CEO of Havas Media Group, said that all three hires have demonstrated their technical chops, high emotional quotient and ability to grasp the needs of marketers and businesses today. “We’re confident that their addition to the leadership team will elevate our digital and integrated communications thinking to a new level and will cement further the goal to build meaningful brands through delivering a seamless media experience. They will play a crucial part of our agency story as we write the next chapter of our growth together,” she said.

These hires come on the heels of several promotions within the Group. In June, Havas Media Group Singapore promoted media director Louise Koh to executive director, and digital director Puan Chi Heng to head of digital of tech and operations. In their new positions, both continue to report to Russell Lai, managing director, Havas Media Group Singapore. The Group also promoted Havas Sports & Entertainment general manager Francis Coady to the newly created role of CMO in July this year. Lastly, communications strategy head Nick Kavanagh was promoted to head of integrated strategy and planning in April.
