Havas Media Group appoints Francis Coady as CMO

Havas Media Group has promoted Francis Coady to the newly created role of chief marketing officer. 

Currently general manager of Havas Sports & Entertainment, Coady joined Havas Media Group five years ago to establish the Havas Sports & Entertainment division. During that time, Coady has won prominent clients and produced award winning campaigns for brands such as BUPA, Gillette, LG, NRMA, CGU, Virgin, Red Bull and Destination NSW.

Boasting 20 years of experiences across music, film, partnership, content, media and marcoms industries, Coady has also spent 14 years at The Coady Group serving as director, where he oversaw artists including Thirsty Merc and Hi-5. He also created and spent 13 years executive producing the Bondi Short Film Festival.

“Coady has made an outstanding contribution to our business after building our specialist sports and entertainment division from scratch. The creation of the CMO position not only recognises his exceptional track record over the past five years, it will enable us to leverage his broad cross industry expertise to grow the agency and the strength of our amazing client partnerships," said Virginia Hyland, CEO of Havas Media Group.

Meanwhile, a formal announcement on Coady's internal replacement will be made shortly.
