Google has appointed Joe Braithwaite as head of Creative Works, Southeast Asia to amplify, accelerate and celebrate the vital role creativity plays in both Google's customer and partner success. Braithwaite told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that his career to date has instilled and nurtured his passion for three things: creativity, technology and Asia, and he couldn't be happier that this new role brilliantly blends all three.
"I'm very much looking forward to working closely with the region's most inspirational creative agencies, alongside the region's most innovative brand teams, all in service of unlocking next-level marketing effectiveness. I can't wait to get started!" he added.
Braithwaite returns to Singapore after spending 13 years with Omnicom Group. He began his career with the network as GM for BBDO and Proximity Singapore for more than eight years between 2008 to 2017. He then relocated to London to helm the role of MD of Proximity. Following the merger between Proximity and Rapp last year, Braithwaite took on the role of MD for Rapp in London. He also worked as business director for iris Worldwide from 2003 to 2008 and was based in London and Singapore during that period.
