Global integrated marketing and communications agency, FINN Partners, has promoted Joshua Wang (pictured) to associate vice president, brand and market intelligence, Asia Pacific.
Within this newly created APAC role, Wang is responsible for leveraging research, data analysis and strategic insight to drive revenue growth, bolster thought leadership initiatives, and foster innovation for FINN and its clients.
He reports to Howard Solomon, founding managing partner, US West Coast & Asia. He will also be working closely with the group's expansive global Intelligence team of 15 people across Europe and the Americas.
The promotion aims to expand FINN’s regional bench and capabilities across offices, positioning the group for long-term growth in APAC and expanding its outstanding, industry-leading client service.
"Research and insights are increasingly central to our clients' needs, providing the foundation for developing and supporting robust brand and business strategies," said the spokesperson from FINN in a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
"This appointment demonstrates FINN Partners' commitment to enhancing its strategic advisory capabilities, addressing regional demands, and expanding its client service offerings."
Wang will also be responsible for developing strategies that support clients' business outcomes and working with the experts within our already strong sectors in technology, health, travel and tourism, and consumer, to support the growth of FINN's advisory and consulting program with data-driven insights.
Wang's remit encompasses the entire region, with a focus on leveraging brand and market intelligence across FINN's offices in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and through our extensive network of partners.
Wang joined FINN in 2022 as research and insights director. Prior to FINN, Wang was the head of research in RFI Asia, a Ruder Finn company, from 2017 to 2022.
“In today’s landscape, clients are navigating tremendous shifts. They rely on us to serve as trusted advisors, delving into their challenges and providing strategic counsel. At the foundational level, the value – the brilliance – of effective brand strategy is in enabling them to achieve a consistent and recognisable identity, one that enables them to stand out from the crowd,” said Wang.
“Joshua lives and breathes client strategy and intelligence for brands and excels at directing programs that require evaluation from multiple angles,” said Naeema Ismail, managing partner, FINN Partners Singapore.
“Using research to develop strategies that contribute to clients’ bottom lines while expanding our offerings and supporting the growth of our advisory and consulting program, we’re further able to enhance our work with data-driven insights that drive business impact," Ismail added.
