Online marketplace Carousell has appointed 72andSunny Singapore as its creative partner after a pitch. The appointment for 72andSunny Singapore follows its recent business wins of Love, Bonito and HipVan. Cassandra Leong, senior brand manager of Carousell, said that the company is "very impressed" with 72andSunny's "deep experience and fresh approach", and is looking to boost its presence in the region and grow audience for its advertisers with this partnership. 72andSunny declined to comment on Marketing's queries about the creative direction for Carousell and appointment details. “What’s cool is that in the Carousell team, we’ve found like-minded partners who share our creative and commercial ambitions. They are true modern marketers, and we can’t wait to grow together across Southeast Asia,” Bassam Abdel-Rahman, managing director, 72andSunny Singapore, said. Carousell was one of the seven companies which were recently awarded up to SG$1.3 million by the Singapore Tourism Board for marketing proposals under the second edition of the Marketing Innovation Programme. Carousell’s proposed campaign planned to showcase Singapore as a destination through the eyes of a visitor who meets new Singaporeans friends that share similar interests.
