Integrated creative marketing agency BMF has launched its first office in Hong Kong as part of its APAC expansion. The move comes as an effort to increase the agency's 2025 revenue in the region and deepen relationships with key clients, such as Marriott International, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, and Japan Airlines.
Leading the Hong Kong operations will be Winkie Wong (pictured), an experienced luxury marketing leader with regional experience. She was most recently the global vice president of brand and creative at DFS Group, an LVMH company, and as brand leader for Marriott International's premium brands in the region.
According to Bruce Starr, chief executive and founding partner of BMF, the new office launch marks a defining moment for BMF as the company scales global operations to serve key clients and expand its work throughout the region. "Our globally connected agency model allows us to deepen and grow relationships with APAC-based clients while also presenting new international growth opportunities for our regional clients," he added.
Explaining the idea behind choosing Hong Kong as its APAC hub, Wong highlighted the city's highly skilled, globally oriented talent pool, particularly in sectors such as luxury, hospitality, and marketing, which are central to BMF’s expertise.
She also emphasised Hong Kong’s strategic location as a gateway to mainland China, while offering robust regional and international connectivity. “While markets like Singapore and the Greater Bay Area are emerging, Hong Kong’s unique mix of global outlook, regional accessibility, and creative energy makes it the ideal launchpad for our growth in Asia,” Wong added.
The new team in Hong Kong will deliver BMF’s comprehensive suite of integrated services, including strategy, digital, experiential marketing, public relations, and social media. BMF’s London office will continue to function as a key international hub, ensuring strong alignment between its US headquarters and the APAC team.
"I am thrilled to establish BMF's first office in the Asia-Pacific region and build a dynamic, world-class team in Hong Kong," Wong said. "I was drawn to BMF's culture and global network, which exemplifies a genuine model of global collaboration."
