BBDO beefs up creative leadership in China with new appointments as Leong Wai Foong steps down

Creative agency BBDO has beefed up its creative leadership in China with new senior hires, as its chairman and chief creative officer for Greater China Leong Wai Foong (pictured) steps down from his position to pursue his career as a musician and composer.
Since joining BBDO Greater China in 2006, Leong has played a key role in helping the organisation develop into one of the top creative agencies. He has been driving the company with his distinct creative approach and has influenced the company's creative direction which helped BBDO Greater China succeed. He then became chairman and CCO in 2015.
Prior to BBDO Greater China, Leong served in various well-known advertising companies, such as DDB Singapore, Leo Burnett Shanghai.
Leong confirmed his exit to BBDO Greater China in a release and said it has been an honour to lead the talented and dedicated team at BBDO Greater China. “But after 29 years in the advertising industry, I feel it is time for me to pursue my passion as a musician and composer. I am confident that the talented team at BBDO Greater China will continue to lead the way in innovative and effective advertising solutions,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Arthur Tsang (pictured left), the current chief creative officer of BBDO China will succeed Leong’s role as chief creative officer of BBDO Greater China. At the same time, Nicole Ma (pictured middle), chief creative officer at BBDO Shanghai will fill Arthur’s former position as CCO for China, followed by Kevin Jin (pictured right) stepping up from executive creative officer to fill Ma’s role as chief creative officer for BBDO Shanghai.
