Archetype Hong Kong elevates Liz Weselby to MD

Archetype Hong Kong has promoted Liz Weselby (pictured centre) to managing director. She will lead the Hong Kong business, helping brands grow their presence in the local market, Greater China and APAC.
Weselby joined the agency in February 2020 as deputy managing director, bringing 20 years of experience in content marketing, principally in the travel and lifestyle sectors to the team. In this position, she drove business development and growth, as well as provided senior client counsel on content and go-to-market strategies. In June 2021, she was promoted to general manager, according to her LinkedIn.
“I’m thrilled to be leading the Hong Kong business for Archetype. The last few years have been challenging for us all, but we have also seen seismic shifts in how we work, how businesses function and how brands are communicating with their customers," said Weselby.
She added:
Archetype has such a strong reputation in technology and it excites me to be able to share our learnings with businesses in other sectors. Every company is now a tech company; we can help them transform how they communicate, and go beyond what they thought was possible.
In addition to Weselby's promotion, Archetype Hong Kong has also bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of two senior consultants, including Stella Wong (pictured right) and Rachel Fung (pictured left).
Drawing on her extensive agency and in-house B2B experience, Wong heads up the PR team and drives new business and marketing. She said: “I am proud to join a forward-thinking agency that provides flexibility and full support to employees working from wherever they like, so they deliver their best work. I am looking forward to leading the team and growing our clients' businesses, and the agency’s portfolio.”
Fung leads the regional AWS Public Sector account as she boasts a background in PR, content and social media marketing. Fung said: "The team owns some of the best client names in the tech space, and I will leverage my specific experience in PR and social media marketing to give strategic counsel and drive the desired results for our clients.”
