Abhishek Bhattacharjee tipped to leave IPG Mediabrands for Zenith

Abhishek Bhattacharjee, chief digital officer, IPG Mediabrands Malaysia is tipped to be heading to Zenith in January 2018, to take on a lead digital role, A+M understands. This comes shortly after Zenith hired former managing director of Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid, David Soo as managing director of Zenith Media Malaysia.A+M has reached out to both Zenith and IPG for a statement.Bhattacharjee was promoted to the CDO role in April this year in a bid to push for a digital future, with data analytics, technology enabled solutions, decision automation and immersive story-telling playing a symbiotic and integrated role. He reported to Bala Pomaleh, CEO of Mediabrands Malaysia. He had been with the company since 2012 in numerous digital positions.Meanwhile, IPG Mediabrands Malaysia also made a slew of hires. It appointed Adrian Cheah to the newly-created role of client service director for Society. Cheah will be looking at growing the business for Society with its creative offering.In August, Anwer Khan came on board as general manager for BPN. The move serves to strengthen the core BPN leadership team under managing director Darren Yuen and client services director, Vicky Tam. Prior to the appointment, Khan was business director at Carat Malaysia where he served as client lead across multiple businesses. Meanwhile, Sujith Rao was named vice president of Inventure, the research and consulting arm of  IPG Mediabrands. Rao still reports to Bala Pomaleh, CEO of IPG Mediabrands Malaysia.IPG Mediabrands also launched Rapport in Malaysia, a global specialist network agency in the out-of-home (OOH) sector in Malaysia this year.
