Yoshinoya's new café improves customer experience with digitalised services

Yoshinoya's newly launched Japanese café in Tsim Sha Tsui has introduced digitalised services to showcase the brand's width of innovation on customer experience and localization on catering to youngsters’ needs.

Located in Hau Fook Street, a popular dining hotspot of Tsim Sha Tsui, a spokesperson told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that Yoshinoya aims to create a modern hangout for youngsters to savour classic Japanese dishes made with Japan origin ingredients at an affordable price.

Differing from the menu, ambience and digitalised semi-table service via robotic solution service mode, the café is designed with light brown interior with wood furnishings and soft lighting, hoping to build a modern, stylish and relaxing ambience. The interior decorative items feature the key elements of the classic Japanese beef rice bowl to showcase 100 years of culinary history. With the "Beef Ladle" feature wall, it illustrates how the refined 47-hole ladle ensures golden ratio of beef and special beef broth will be served for a perfect taste of a beef bowl.

In order to accelerate customer experience, the new store has also introduced digitalised services such as delivery robot and online ordering services for customers. “Optimising customers’ satisfaction with digitalised service has always been one of the missions of Yoshinoya. Customers can have an elevated dining experience and be immersed in Japanese food and drinks at ease,”  said Janet Yuen, CEO of Hung’s Food Group.

Furthermore, diversified seating zonings are applied to cater to different demands of customers. Customers can sit by the window embrace panoramic view from its large floor-to-ceiling windows, or gather with friends in a private cozy corner at the rear end, or even sit on high chairs to watch the chef in the open kitchen preparing their dishes.

On the other hand, the café offers Japanese favourites made with Japan origin ingredients at an affordable price, ranging from salads, snacks, hand roll, donto desserts, available for all day dining. Cuisines such as grilled wagyu beef bowl, Hokkaido pork bowl, seared wagyu beef sushi, matcha tea pudding, as well as special drinks like fig coffee soda or Marukyu Koyamaen matcha milk will be offered. Furthermore, Yoshinoya said there will be hidden menu in the coming year.
