MCCY on the hunt for AI-powered media intelligence firm

The ministry of culture, community and youth's (MCCY) communications and engagement division (CED) is on hunt for an AI-powered media intelligence firm. The firm should be able to leverage artificial intelligence and advanced large language models to analyse events, issues and individuals on news, social media and digital platforms.

They will also be tasked to inform and augment MCCY CED's existing and future communications and engagement efforts. Additionally, the chosen firm's scope of work will include providing reports on the monitoring and analysis of MCCY issues when reports are triggered, as well as flash reports. According to tender documents seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, issues can be defined as over-arching themes such as arts, heritage, youth and sports, aligning with MCCY CED's areas of interests.

Meanwhile, flash reports are defined as timely, focused analysis of emerging events or situations that require immediate attention and strategic communication planning. The flash reports are required to be delivered within 24 hours of event notification. The chosen partner will also have to provide medium-term analysis of pre-identified events and key announcements and in-depth research report for an identified theme of interest.

The deadline for submission of interest is 1pm on 28 February 2025. All firms intended to submit a bid to pitch can register to Elaine Wong, manager, communications and engagement division, ministry of culture, community and youth.

Earlier this year, MCCY released two new official music videos for 'Majulah Singapura', the national anthem of Singapore. This marks its first change in over a decade, with the previous version of the film created in 2011. The two films were a result of discussions and planning that began in late 2023, with a goal to resonate with as many Singaporeans as possible, and to chart a collective path towards a progressive future.

The two new films, titled ‘Bersatu’ ('Unite') and ‘Majulah’ ('Onward'), focus on different aspects of the nation’s story.
