WeChat Pay Hong Kong has partnered with four telcom providers 1010, csl, Club Sim and i-Cable to further expand the electronic payment options for consumers.
From now on, WeChat Pay HK users can pay the relevant telecommunication service charges of the four operators via one platform. The partnership aims to simplify the payment process for consumers, which means they do not need to switch to different apps when they pay different bills.
As part of the partnership, users of i-Cable's subsidiary brands i-Cable TV, i-Cable Communications, iMobile and 家居電話 can use WeChat Pay HK to make their payment. Registered users of WeChat Pay HK will also receive warm reminders for payment.
The promotion period will run until 11 February, valid new users of WeChat Pay HK can be rewarded electronic cash coupons when binding any of the four telcom accounts.
Daniel Hong, vice president of Tencent financial technology, said: “At present, WeChat Pay HK has covered payment services such as telecommunications bill payment, utilities, property management fees, tax bills, rates and government rent, and we continue to expand various bill payment and electronic payment scenarios.”
“We are very happy to connect with four influential local telecommunications providers this time to provide users with a safe and convenient living platform, easily handle various daily bill payments, and enjoy a smart lifestyle together,”he added.
