Verbal branding agency Reed Words has opened a new office in Singapore, marking its entrance into the Asia Pacific region. The Singapore office adds to the agency's existing locations in London and New York City.
Reed Words' expertise covers naming, brand voice and messaging, brand strategy and all manner of copywriting including campaigns, packaging, websites and film.
Speaking to the opening of the Singapore office, co-founder and executive creative director Mike Reed said: "This is such an exciting time for Reed Words."

“Our teams are growing in London and New York, and we’re excited to build new networks and opportunities in Singapore. We’ve always believed in the global potential of a specialist verbal agency, and it’s thrilling to see that being realised,' added Reed.
The agency's clients include brands such as Google, McDonald's, the Premier League, Sony, Heinz and Bang & Olufsen.
It also collaborates with agencies such as Snask, Uncommon, Design Bridge & Partners and Nomad Studio.
"Singapore and the wider region are home to many fantastic design agencies and an array of exciting, innovative businesses. But we felt there was a gap for world-class verbal branding and copywriting. That's us," said Wendy Martin, co-founder and commercial director.
"We’re excited about the prospect of partnering with these businesses to create, develop and transform some outstanding brands," added Martin.
The Singapore office will be led by Rupert Thomson, who holds the role of general manager of Asia. Thomson has a rich experience in design and the arts, having built brands including the Summerhall venue in Edinburgh and developed creative partnerships ranging from Jean-Paul Gaultier to national cultural agencies.
Prior to joining Reed Words, Thomson was a design director at Neon Singapore.
“With this new office, we’ll be able to provide an even more comprehensive service for our existing global brands, as well as opening up a wealth of new opportunities in APAC," said Thomson.
Reed Words is not the only new agency seeking new opportunities in the APAC region. Earlier in May, PR and content agency Bud Communications expanded into the Australian market.
Integral to the agency’s offering will be a dual focus on strategic public relations and content services that maximise the output of earned, owned and paid channels, helping businesses enlarge their audiences.
Leading the charge in the local market is Richie Kenzie, appointed as the Australia lead for Bud Communications. Having held several senior editorial and strategic roles at major publishers and content agencies, Kenzie is poised to spearhead Bud’s expansion efforts and drive growth for clients in the region.
