
Valiram names Sagar Paranjpe vice president of marketing

Luxury goods and retail specialist Valiram has appointed Sagar Paranjpe (pictured) as its new vice president of marketing.
Paranjpe is a notable leader in Malaysia, having held roles across numerous agencies and legacy brands. Prior to taking on the role at Valiram, Paranjpe was a senior consultant for marketing and customer experience at Prasarana Malaysia where he was tasked to transform the marketing and customer experience division.
In 2022, he joined Bonsey Jaden as its managing director where he spearheaded significant growth initiatives and operational improvements. In conversation with A+M at the time, he said he wanted to bring stability to the agency and was set on "developing a strong, sustainable culture such that the team will want to not just stay in the organisation but also grow with it."

In 2018, he joined Malaysia Airlines as its creative director of global and held progressively senior roles culminating to head of brand, strategy and creative in 2021. As Malaysia Airlines' brand lead, Paranjpe spearheaded brand-building initiatives and campaigns, managed stakeholders and agency and established an in-house creative and social media team. In addition, he managed budget, expanded the team from eight to 24 members and was key in launching Journify, Malaysia Airlines' journey planning platform.
His previous roles also include associate creative director at Ogilvy, associate creative director at Geometry Global, creative group head at Grey Group, senior creative at JWT and assistant brand manager at eBay India, according to his LinkedIn.
