Tealive concocts tie-up with KITKAT as it unveils premium concept store

Tealive has partnered with Nestlé's KITKAT for an exclusive menu, the KITKAT Coco Wafer Smoothie series, which will be made using KITKAT's wafer spread with chocolate cookie crumbs. Alongside this partnership is the launch of Tealive Plus at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, a premium concept store from the brand.

Tealive Plus launched at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on 27 April, with the brand having teased its opening as early as 22 April on its Facebook page, as well as of its collaboration with KITKAT. Two new drinks were launched on the store's opening day: the signature smoothie (chocolate flavoured), and a berry smoothie (strawberry flavoured). Loob Holding’s founder and CEO Bryan Loo (pictured right) said that the collaboration with KITKAT shows yet again Tealive delivering on its brand promise of "Always More Than Tea". He is also confident that creations will hit the right spot with KITKAT fans amongst Tealive's consumer base, as well as win over new fans.

Aside from the Coco Wafer series, Tealive Plus will also feature top picks from the Tealive menu, reinvented as "indulgent, exclusive drinks". A new hot-food menu was launched as well, consisting of snacks and all-day food items that pair well with Tealive drinks, including Tealive's very own signature grilled toasts. Meanwhile, according to The Edge Markets, Loo shared at the store's in-person launch that Tealive Plus will offer a more exclusive offering, to cater to higher-end locations in Malaysia.

Nestlé Malaysia's CEO Juan Aranols said KITKAT has always celebrated all the different kinds of breaks there are; be it fun, spontaneous, delicious, indulgent, or even rewarding. "With the introduction of this latest launch of the KITKAT Spread, we hope to continue inspiring our B2B partners with the endless possibility to innovate their products and produce delicious breaks Malaysians would enjoy, starting now with this exciting collaboration with Tealive," he added.

Separately, Tealive announced earlier this year that it would be expanding its operations into Manila, appointing Mike Dumaual to lead its operations as GM. The Southeast Asian tea chain said on LinkedIn that Dumaual will be leading the charge on business operations across the Philippines, including store expansion strategy and boosting the Tealive brand to be Philippines’ preferred lifestyle tea brand.
