Subway Malaysia is showcasing its 23 years of unique history and culture in Malaysia with a Subway Mini World Exhibit featuring its mascot, Sabweh. Done together with VMLY&R COMMERCE, the exhibit was first launched at Tiffin at the Yard in Kuala Lumpur from 8 to 10 July. Another exhibit will be held at Queensbay Mall, Penang from 15 to 17 July.
The exhibit features miniature displays of memorable landscapes across the nation such as the Dataran Merdeka, handcrafted by MinNature Malaysia, a holographic sub display, and a ten foot sub statue. MinNature Malaysia had previously crafted a permanent indoor miniature and train exhibition. Visitors will also be joined by Sabweh and participate in a mini game, the Mini Sabweh Hunt, to win prizes during the exhibition.
Sabweh’s creator and viral comic artist Ernest Ng made a special appearance at the exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, where he had a meet and greet session with the visitors at the exhibition. An AR filter had also been launched on Instagram featuring Sabweh. A+M has reached out to Subway for additional information.
Subway is also handing out a goodie bag to those who have spent at least RM20 at Subway in a single receipt before coming to the exhibition.
Last month, it had brought Sabweh to life via the 3D billboard at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. It was featured alongside other Subway food items including the Tuna sub and the limited-edition Seafood Patty sub. "Sabweh" represents Malaysians' love for the brand's food and was officially unveiled during Ramadan this year.
Separately, last November, it had also joined forces with Coke Malaysia to launch limited edition Stack Up blocks. Its spokesperson told A+M that the creative concept came about as the brand wanted to ensure the best possible experience for new and loyal fans alike.
