Starcom names Ian Loon managing director as Patricia Goh exits

Starcom has appointed Ian Loon as managing director of its Singapore office, as Patricia Goh exits the company after more than eight years with Starcom. Goh spent the last three years as managing director Starcom Singapore.Goh has been with the agency since 2008 and rose through the ranks with consistent bolstering of multi-disciplinary expertise across verticals. She has been aggressive in new business wins, having back-to-back wins with the most recent ones with Expedia SEA, AIA Asia Pacific Breweries and a string of government businesses like the Ministry of Communications & Information, Ministry of Trade & Industry, Land Transport Authority and the SEA Games.“I had the pleasure of working with Pat over the past year which has been great. She has the desire and appetite to explore opportunities in the Tech space, I wish her all the best for the future,” Gareth Mulryan, Publicis Media CEO, Singapore said added.Loon’s will take on the new role 1 March 2017 onwards. He has spent close to 13 collective years with Starcom over various stints. He began his advertising career as an intern during the inception of the agency from Leo Burnett, following the global decoupling of media and creative services back in 2000.According to a statement from Starcom, he was amongst the agency's first "digital-at-core" integrated planners who rose over the years to lead the creation and integration of digital capabilities within content, social and programmatic into Starcom offices across the region.Following the formation of Publicis Media last year, Loon was a global founding member of its business transformation practice which launched NextTECHnow in Singapore last November, the capability ‎that connects solutions offered by start-ups and entrepreneurs to clients across its agency network.Mulryan said, “I have worked with Ian for the past eight years.
