Singapore-headquartered artificial intelligence (AI) behaviour aggregator SQREEM Technlogies, has acquired Melbourne-founded programmatic business Trade Indy. The acquisition is part of its ongoing global expansion plans.
SQREEM Technologies' acquisition of Trade Indy creates new offering and could make it one of the world's largest AI partnership providers, it said in a statement.

For agencies and clients alike, the acquisition will allow brands to identify and illustrate its audiences with precision as well as build longer-term digital relationships. This, in turn, will help enhance brand impact and drive budget accountability.
“The Trade Indy acquisition is significant in that it simultaneously puts SQREEM into the global A-League of AI Innovators," said Ian Chapman Banks, CEO of SQREEM Technologies, in a statement.
"Domestically, whilst Australia currently ranks 15th out of 62 countries across the world for AI adoption, this presents a unique opportunity for early adopters such as SQREEM and Trade Indy, to drive significant growth for its clients whilst expanding its global reach and relevance.”
Trade Indy directors Mark Rosenberg and James Robertson view the acquisition as a "natural progression" with both organisations sharing the same values and drive for creating the best in market technology and customer service.
Through this acquisition, Trade Indy will have exclusive access to a taxonomy of audiences and SQREEM Technologies' global network.
“The agreement to merge with SQREEM expands both business offerings by bringing together our experienced managed service team with advanced, cookieless, AI driven technology. This move into the SQREEM group is an exciting growth opportunity at a time when the market is demanding next generation digital media solutions," said Rosenberg.
Robertson added, "We are excited to see this relationship expand our horizons and provide us with not only the resources to maintain growth, but to also introduce the SQREEM platform to other agencies and brands across the region."
The acquisition of Trade Indy has commenced immediately. It is now integrated into the SQREEM Technologies Group stable.
Before expanding into Australia, SQREEM Technologies forayed into Japan. Back in February 2020, Japanese internet service provider Rakuten partnered with SQREEM Technologies to launch its jointly established company Rakuten SQREEM.
The new company will provide AI-based marketing solutions to companies and advertisers in Japan.
In tandem, it will marry Rakuten's data with SQREEM's AI behavioural pattern analysis data to come up with marketing solutions and enable media buying for Internet advertising through partners.
It will also provide advertisers with a real-time picture of increasingly complex consumer behaviour, hoping to improve advertisers' ad performance and cost efficiencies.
