Singapore Prison Service (SPS) has handed its social media remit to integrated marketing and communications agency That Marketing Guy, according to GeBiz documents seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

That Marketing Guy will provide social media services to enhance SPS’s presence, brand and share of voice on social media and on public media platforms, including social media platforms for the Yellow Ribbon Project and its existing channels on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and other mobile platforms.

The appointment will last for a period of two years beginning in July 2023. There will also be an option to extend the contract up to another two years.

Under the remit, That Marketing Guy will also be tasked to enhance the positive perception of SPS and its related projects by highlighting its contribution to the safety and security of Singapore through the safe and secure custody of inmates and rehabilitation programmes for them, which are crucial in their reintegration into society.

It will also be required to educate and engage stakeholders on the role they can play to help inmates to rehabilitate, renew and restart their lives by highlighting their reintegration potential.

Additionally, it will have to identify and successfully mitigate issues to protect the SPS' reputation, enhance the standing of prison officers in the community and position SPS as an employer of choice and support SPS in a manner that aligns with and promotes its brand and vision, it said in tender documents.

The news comes shortly after NTUC LearningHub appointed integrated marketing and communications agency That Marketing Guy to develop its 2023 brand campaign after a competitive tender process. The new brand campaign is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2023.

This will be the third campaign NTUC LearningHub is doing with That Marketing Guy since they began their working relationship in 2019.

At that point, That Marketing Guy worked on the brand's rebranding efforts for its Continuing Education Training provider.

Since then, it has launched two successful brand campaigns under the concept, “Lifelong Learning, Inspired by You” in 2020 and 2021, a new corporate brand video and revamped the look and feel of its learning app, LXP.
